Iron cave in Gorjuša, Domžale
In the western part of the Posavje hill, there's an impressive karstic cave. The Iron Cave boasts two halls, which are interconnected by tunnels and bridges. The cave centre, where one can make arrangements to visit the karstic caves, exhibits several museum collections, such as different cave rocks, fossils, archaeological findings and Hohenwart's collection of stalagmites and stalactites from Slovenian caves. You can also find an interesting collection of rocks, plants and animals from the Kamnik-Savinja Alps by Simon Robič (1824-97), one of the first Slovenian botanist and geologists. You can see the wreckage of the bomber B-24 aircraft, which crashed nearby during the World War II.
